Installing and uninstalling

Local Installation

The installation file ma90_setup.exe  is used to install the program locally, i.e. the program and all associated files are copied in the directory C:/programs/MatheAss 9.0 .

A link is added to the start menu and an icon is created on the desktop. The file DEMO.DAT  and the users data are stored for each user in his own directory AppData/Local/MatheAss 9.0  and can therefore be changed. The registration data however are stored in the program directory, and can only be changed as administrator.

Portable Installation

To install MatheAss portable, e.g. on a USB stick, just copy the whole directory C:/programs/Matheass 9.0  to the stick and set the option portable=true  in the file ma90.ini . Now all data are stored in the same directory, for which you need write permission.

Uninstall

To uninstall a local installation of the program, right-click on the program MatheAss 9.0 in the start menu and choose Uninstall or open the file unins000.exe in c:/programs/MatheAss 9.0 . All directories and shortcuts created during the installation will be removed.
